Rooms
The wooden furniture made from untreated, solid spruce wood offers a warm and cosy atmosphere. Every piece of furniture was designed by the architects Madritsch & Pfurtscheller and reflect the architects’ straight-forward approach to contemporary hotel design. Contemporary technology is key: flatscreens with cable-tv, DVD/CD Player, free internet access, telephone and a hairdryer come with every hotel room.
Library
The library on the 1st floor offers a growing section of English and Italian books. Grab a book and go to the adjacent seating lounge to enjoy a nice read. There, you’ll also find a G4 powerbook to surf the web and write an email or two. Free of charge, of course.
NEW 2009: Outdoor Jacuzzi
Our private roof terrace features another highlight this summer: could there be a better place to enjoy the marvelous view of the mountains than a jacuzzi? Come find out for yourself!
Think Tank
The Think Tank, located underneath the roof of the old Gasthof, is at the same time our guests’ living room. The entire room is encased like a half-pipe in raw spruce from local woods – clearly an architectural highlight of the hotel! Grab a book or a magazine, get yourself a freshly brewed cup of tea, and relax in the comfortable lounge cushions.
Sauna
Our newly-built sauna – made from stone pine, which reduces heart rate and provides a feeling of wellbeing – with access to the roof terrace is the perfect relaxation after a day in the mountains – summer and winter! Feel the heat and enjoy the view over the mountains and the roof tops of Zell am See.
Roof Terrace
The roof terrace – connecting the sauna and the Think Tank – offers a beautiful panoramic view from the Kitzsteinhorn glacier to the Schmittenhöhe. It is the perfect place to get some rest and relax. Highly recommended in the evening after dark.
Hotel Gallery
Our hotel gallery features changing exhibitions of contemporary art and design. Every 6 months, the entire collection changes. Especially our returning guests appreciate the radical tranformation of space on their nex visit: they literally never walk the same corridor twice. More information on past and current exhibitions is available here.
Wine Cave
Take a dive into the roots of Steinerwirt: the wine cave dates from the early 14th century and is the oldest part of the building. In here, your table wine is stored in perfect constant temperature conditions. Furthermore, our sommelier will be happy to arrange a private tasting session for you.
